Band & Orchestra

The Studios at First Note Music 

Lessons are scheduled once-a-week for 30 minutes and are one-on-one with our instructors.  When you're ready to sign-up, give us a call! 

Fee Schedule:

  • $10 Registration (Cash or Check paid to First Note Music)
  • $88 per month for 4 half-hour lessons (Cash or Check paid to the instructor)

Payment for lessons are made directly to your instructor in the form of cash or check at the start of your first lesson.  We do not accept debit or credit cards for lesson payments.  After your first payment, future tuition is due in the last week of the month for the following month (i.e. you pay on the last lesson of January for February's lessons).

  • Don Bryant teaches all Band Instruments

    Mr. Don BryantOriginally hailing from Iowa, Mr. Bryant received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Drake University.  He then attended Marian College where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Arts.

    Mr. Bryant is currently the principal at Fort Myers Middle Academy.  Before that, he principaled Tropic Isles Elementary School and spent 19 years as a high school band director.  During that time, his bands were recognized as one of the top ten in the nation.  As such, he is one of the most requested band instrument instructors at First Note Music.

    An avid trombone and piano player, he teaches more than 20 students each week.  His students range in age from middle to high school and he teaches most band instruments and piano.

    In his off-time, Mr. Bryant enjoys boating and fishing and is a fan of Classic Corvettes.  He teaches on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Walter Herman teaches all Band Instruments

    Mr. Walter HermanLiving in Florida most of his life, Mr. Herman graduated from Riverview High in Sarasota. He then went on to the University of Miami where he earned a Associate's Degree in Music and then a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.  He began teaching in the Lee County School Dristrict while then earning a Master's Degree in Education Supervision from the University of South Florida.

    Mr. Herman retired from public school teaching after 32 years as a band director.  For 20 of those years he also conducted the Lee County Community Band.  Mr. Herman owns a home in North Carolina where he spends time each Summer with his wife.  His son carries on the public service tradition as a Cape Coral Police officer and his daughter-in-law is also a teacher.

    Mr. Herman teaches saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, bassoon and beginning guitar.  He works on Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Anthony Herrera teaches Violin & Viola

    Mr. Herrera teaches on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

  • Jennifer Mazziotti teaches Saxophone

    Ms. Mazziotti teaches on Monday and Thursday.

  • Fred Parham teaches Violin, Viola, Cello & Double Bass

    Mr. Parham teaches on Wednesday.

  • Annette Pastuszek teaches Violin, Viola & Cello

    Mrs. Pastuszek teaches on Wednesday and Saturday.
