Christine Matte, Piano & Flute

Originally from New York, Mrs. Matte graduated from Gloversville High School. In her early twenties, she was involved with a band named Devoshun. Their repertoire consisted of original songs written by the band and had their debut on a local television station (big hair included). Mrs. Matte has earned an Associate in the Arts in Music and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Edison College and Florida Gulf Coast University.

Mrs. Matte is one of only a few instructors that work full time at First Note Music with more than 60 students each week. She has been teaching piano for nearly 15 years and recently branched out into teaching flute and beginning guitar. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Matte works with children in many different capacities. For over 20 years, she has helped children with mental or physical disabilities experience music through piano lessons and guitar performances. Mrs. Matte is a skilled songwriter performing many of her own works as well as those of her students.

Mrs. Matte teaches at First Note Music on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
